Content filtering in public Wi-Fi networks
The main purpose of content filtering — restricting access to malicious or unauthorized resources. The function of content filtering allows you to block unwanted web sites and helps protect users of the network from advertising "candid" content, "adult" content or content which contains a potentially dangerous software.
How does it work?
The owner of the access point independently generates a list of desirable/undesirable resources and/or selects a ready-made list in which whoaah web sites of certain categories. Lock as possible on the DNS level and at the device level (router) depending on the capacity of existing infrastructure.
When you try to access the address which is in the black list, the user will be redirected to a special page notifying you of the prescribed limit.
